Field Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving all volume and distribution goals as assigned by the State Manager for the portfolio through all channels of trade. Based out of the Detroit and Ann Arbor area market, but light travel throughout the state is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

●      Build and manage relationships with on and off premise accounts and distributor field sales team 

                o   Assist State Manager and distributor sales/merchandising teams as needed to build displays, set up POS, and merchandise accounts to make sure Long Drink is visible

●      Execute in-store tastings and promotional events 

●      Support execution of chain programming, survey’s, price verification

●      Maintain State Manager’s working key account list and build key account relationships within assigned territory, chains, accounts

●      Identify and execute business opportunities to gain exposure and grow sales

●      Introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions if successful and aspire to be a leader in better practices

●      Build brand awareness and excitement within assigned territory

●      Assist state lead in managing assigned budgets including incentives, branded merchandise and other departmental expenses

●      Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law

●      Weekly meetings with State Manager

●      Support and run sales meetings, distributor, and account education, as well as consumer events

JOB REQUIREMENTS

●      Preferred 3-5 or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium products in a retail environment

●      BA degree or equivalent experience

●      Well organized with ability to work both independently and within team environment

●      Results oriented, innovative, strong problem solving and negotiation skills

●      Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment

●      Must be able to build and maintain customer relationships

●      Willingness for travel 10-25% of time (mostly within Michigan, occasional out of state travel)

●      Access to reliable vehicle

●      Ability to lift 50 lbs

●      Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
